Responsible Design

Yves Béhar was inspired by suspension bridges, as they achieve a great effect with minimal material. The Eco-Dematerialized design of the Sayl uses less material in an innovative way while still providing ergonomic support for people weighing up to 350 lbs (159 kg).

Herman Miller manufactures Sayl chairs on three different continents to reduce the distance between the manufacturing site and the customer. This product contains no PVC, and its materials are nearly fully recyclable.
