Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair – Refurbished

Considered the most successful office chair in history, the Classic Aeron Chair remains casual and timeless despite its groundbreaking technology and ergonomics.

Designers Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf have created a task chair that is both ergonomic and top-notch in design. The basic idea behind the design is to facilitate the activities of office workers who spend much of the day sitting. This is ensured by the Pellicle membrane used for the first time for the seat and backrest and the kinemat patent as an innovative synchronic tilting mechanism. Thus, when it was launched, the Aeron was the first office chair of its kind that did not require any upholstery at all. The Aeron Chair was selected as "Design of the Decade" by the Industrial Designers Society America. The Aeron is on permanent display at New York's Museum of Modern Art.

With the CE-ready we mark products with particularly sustainable properties. The Classic Aeron itself is made of 66% recycled material. Our refurbished model is mainly reassembled from pre-existing materials, giving components a second life. However, we cannot do without new components, because spare parts that are no longer usable are replaced by new ones.
